Bristolwood welcomes all community members to actively participate in the beautification of our neighborhood. Homeowners who lease their property to tenants are still responsible for their property’s compliance with CC&R’s and parking regulations. Sometimes tenants are not aware of the CC&R’s and parking regulations and this can make compliance difficult and unpleasant. If you are a tenant and not sure what the requirements for compliance are, please contact your landlord and ask for a copy of the CC&R’s and parking regulations. Homeowners who need these documents can contact Jessica at PMC and for a small fee can obtain copies for yourself and your tenant.
Helpful tips for tenants:
Trash cans must be put away behind a fence or in a garage – out of sight.
Parking regulations are strictly enforced.
Lawn maintenance is an ongoing requirement. Mowing and watering are required.

Info about my landscaper , re-posted at the request of homeowner
I have made arrangements with my landscaper, who is bonded and legitimate, to offer everyone in our HOA a discount for lawn care and maintenance. He has agreed to charge $15.00 per visit to mow the lawn, weed and trim the bushes, and add fertilizer on your frontage. I currently pay him $50.00 per month for maintaining my front and rear lawns. He comes in twice a month. Here is his information for anyone who in interested:

Owls, Bullfrogs, & Ducks
The wild animals in our community have made an impression on some of us. Our environment is home to wild animals and we need to be aware of their presence. A neighbor in our community reported losing a small breed dog to an owl. Another neighbor reported a noise problem that was keeping her up at night. It turned out to be a bullfrog singing. Someone left a letter in the community mailbox about the ducks leaving their “business” all over community.
The wild animals in our community are here to stay and so are we. Let’s do our part to be educated about their species so we can avoid any unpleasant encounters with them.

• Small pets are targets for predators, please watch over them – especially at night.
• Do not feed wildlife, even ducks. They return to food sources.
• Report incidents with animals to local animal control or wildlife agencies.

Rash of Burglaries in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA - The arrests of five people in two separate incidents over the weekend might slow down an increase in car burglaries in the east side of Chula Vista.
Three people were arrested as the result of a pursuit Saturday night, and two others were caught red-handed early Sunday.
"Whether they're a part of a larger ring operating in San Diego County, we don't have any idea at this point," said Bernard Gonzales with the Chula Vista Police Department. "The significance is that we have at least these five off the streets committing burglaries."
Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, someone called police to say he was following a car carrying three men who tried to break into his vehicle.
An officer spotted the suspects' car getting onto the 805 Freeway from Main Street, confirmed the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day in National City, and followed them until they took the exit to Bonita Road.
One person got out of the car and was taken into custody. The driver sped away but struck a woman's vehicle in the 3800 block of Bonita Road, slightly injuring her. The second occupant then got out of the vehicle and was arrested. The driver drove off but crashed again, suffering minor injuries.
The suspects, an adult whose name was not released and two juveniles, were arrested on suspicion of vehicle burglary and possession of stolen property. Additionally, the driver was booked for hit-and-run and felony evasion.
And at 2:37 a.m. Sunday, an officer spotted two young men in a vehicle in the 1900 block of Marquis Court in Eastlake and believed they were breaking in, The two ran off, but the officer caught them, and both admitted to thefts.
A discarded purse was discovered in the area, and items from the purse were found in the pocket of one of the men.
Also, residents said they saw the two checking car doors.
Glenn Spears and Zachary White, both 18-year-old Eastlake residents, were booked on suspicion of vehicle burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
There has been a rash of car burglaries since the beginning of the year.
Kevin Cormier lives in Eastlake and is a victim. His car was broken into and he still hasn't been able to get his window fixed. Cormier believes the thieves are going after items that are easy to see and worth money.
"CD players, lap tops so just be cautious if you leave anything visible in your car, anything of value," Cormier told San Diego 6.
Other neighbors told us it's not just cars being targeted on this street, there have also been several home burglaries.
"Sometimes they've come and they'll knock on the door and then if somebody doesn't answer, they'll go around to the back and break into the home," said Eastlake resident Mindy Schenk.
Schenk says the four home break-ins she's aware of have happened in the morning when parents are dropping their kids at school.
"That's just this street. That's not going up around the block or corner, that's just this street," she told us. "And I can't even tell you how many cars."
Neighbors are happy to hear five people have been arrested and they're hoping the burglaries will stop.

Glenn Spears and Zachary White, both 18-year-old Eastlake residents, were booked on suspicion of vehicle burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
There has been a rash of car burglaries since the beginning of the year.
