Covenants, Codes, & Restrictions

Have you received a courtesy letter while living in Bristolwood? I have! “Mow and
maintain your lawn” or “Please put your trash cans away before 9 pm on the day of
pick up”. Things happen sometimes, life gets in the way and you forget or put off the
things that are required when living in a homeowners association. When the letter
comes it can be upsetting or embarrassing. Once you get past the initial feelings it
means nothing more than something needs to be done to resolve the issue. It’s not
personal. I found it very helpful to know what the rules were so I dug out the dusty
copies of CC&R’s and set to reading them. CC&R’s will never make the bestseller list
but they are required reading for living in a Community Association.
Let’s review the CC&R titles: (Eastlake II is the Master Association and thus we are
subject to their CC&R’s as well as our own.)
